Overview

Esorus is a digital platform that connects interior designers with suppliers, products, and collaboration tools. I contributed as a Product Designer, focusing on UX strategy, research, wireframes, and UI design. My goal was to craft a simple, professional platform that empowers designers to stay up-to-date with industry trends and access discounted products.

Challenges

The Egyptian interior design community faced fragmented tools and workflows. Our challenge was to design a product that would:

  • Centralize access to suppliers and discounted products.

  • Facilitate collaboration and networking among designers.

  • Provide access to workshops, events, and curated design inspiration.

  • Deliver a simple, scalable user experience for professionals.

Research & Insights

We combined strategy, research, and mapping to understand designers’ needs:

  • Conducted interviews and surveys with designers to understand sourcing and project workflows.

  • Developed information architecture to organize products, events, and inspiration content.

  • Created user journeys showing how designers discover products, connect with suppliers, and attend events.

  • Benchmarked against platforms like Pinterest (inspiration), Behance (showcasing), and LinkedIn (networking).

Design Solution

We designed Esorus as an all-in-one platform with:

  • A product discovery system with categories and filters.

  • Supplier connections that unlocked exclusive discounts.

  • A design system built for scalability (colors, typography, product cards).

  • Event and workshop modules for community building.

  • A curated content hub with tutorials and design inspiration.

Results

The redesign transformed Esorus into a robust, user-friendly platform that drove adoption and growth.

  • Streamlined User Journey → Simplified flows reduced friction and improved efficiency.

  • Modern Visual Appeal → A fresh UI improved readability and trust.

  • Accessibility → Inclusive design broadened reach and usability.

  • Performance Optimization → Faster load times and smoother interactions.

  • Revenue Growth → Increased adoption contributed to higher revenue.

  • Positive Feedback → Users praised the usability, intuitive design, and stronger supplier–designer connections.
